The Stones Roses Reunited!
Leslie Cheung about 13 years ago
The Stone Roses will reform with the classic line-up, that is Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni, for a world tour next year. The first dates announced are Manchester's Heaton Park on June 29 & 30, 2012 (we certainly hope that would reach Hong Kong as well). The band have already been in the rehearsal studio to start work on the set-list which includes new songs. When asked about the possibility of a new album, Ian Brown said, "We hope so. But we said that before didn't we?"
The band released two albums in their career so far - the self-entitled debut (1989) and Second Coming (1994). Drummer Reni left the band in 1995 and guitarist John Squire left the band on April 1, 1996 due to "gradual social and musical separation we have undergone in the past few years". Subsequently, Ian Brown and Mani disbanded in October 1996.
Here's the band's video of "I Wanna Be Adored".
